Bayern Munich have made their worst start to a league campaign in 33 years, but Dutch coach Louis Van Gaal is adamant his side are playing with more verve than last season.

"I am not going to reproach anyone. I have analysed the season and I can't say we are playing badly. We're playing much better than last year," Van Gaal told SID.

Bayern have so far only accumulated five points from four games with a negative goal difference.

"The players know what happens when we win so few points. The pressure comes from the outside, from the media and directors. It's normal we're a big team and should be up the top but there is a long way to go," Van Gaal concluded.
